![]() Naval rework is different, not necessarily better, possibly worse due to high learning curve of naval designer. I don't think the expansions really do much for the game besides add a few mechanics. ![]() One of the DLC adds general traits which is a nice mini game, sorta. TfV also brings the spearhead command, which was useful, sorta. I've got all Paradox GSGs, and all of them have at least 400 hours in them, and that's not uncommon. Plus you get access to the Paradox modding community, which is extremely strong, adding still more high quality content to explore. When you buy HOI4, you're buying 5 years of content. So you have to keep things in perspective. HOI4's content over 5 years is just 140 bucks. You spend 300 dollars on FIFA over 5 years if you buy it each year. So if you go by one dollar for one hour of gameplay is a good deal, I've easily cleared that mark since I've got a good 600 hours or so in HOI4 (and many have way way way more than that). However, Paradox games are also famous for their extreme, unlimited essentially, replayability. It's admittedly very difficult to get new players in when you tell them they have to pay upwards of 200 bucks to play a complete game. Just look at EU4 and the price tag for all DLCs. Edit: But in all seriousness, this is how every Paradox Grand Strategy goes.
